Hi all,
I am a new member, but I have visited this site for two years and have learned a lot. I am hoping someone can help me figure out what is wrong with my ducks. I had been having females ducks limping. I have separated the drakes thinking it was them being to aggressive. But since I have separated them I had two ducks start limping in the last few days. I am wondering if it is a nutritional need they aren't getting. Or something else....
Thank you

I have checked for cuts and bumblefoot. I am not seeing anything. It seems to me it's an injury Dottie is 18 months old and this is the first time she has been limping around. She is getting better it's her right leg. As for Phyllis, she a year old, this is the third time she has been limping this summer. She slowly gets better but it's upsetting to see my ducks suffer. I feed them Purina flock raiser.
Thank you all for your responses.

You might want to sprinkle some Nutritional yeast over their feed it can't hurt and my just help. I had 2 adult female ducks limping about a month ago and after checking feet and after checking feet and legs couldn't find anything wrong either so I decided to put NY back in their feed like I did when they were all babies. It took a couple weeks but neither are limping now. So I am keeping NY as part of their diet now. My ducks have some pretty rocky terrain to walk on daily I think it's best for mine to stay on the NY. Sprains and injuries can happen pretty easy. Ducks legs are not that sturdy anyway.

1 Tab of NY per cup of feed daily.
