Today I noticed my gray dewlap Toulouse was limping on his right leg when I went to get my flock out. We is acting normal (still swimming and eating and preening) but has a bad limp. We picked him up to inspect the leg and there was no discoloration or any obvious breaks or swollen areas. What should I do?

My rooster landed a bit hard one day when I dropped him in the pen one day (I was planning on setting him down, but then he jumped and flapped and he is really strong) and he landed a little hard on one foot. Now it is swollen and he limps, and he also gallops a funny gallop when he runs, but he seems okay and there isn't anything i can do about it (unless anyone has any ideas). Did your goose recently land hard? Or does he have bumblefoot maybe?

He doesn't have bumblefoot. I'm thinking that he tripped over something that is in his pen (it's a waterer)

It's possible. How bad is the limp? On a scale from one to ten, ten being he can't walk and one being i can't hardly tell anything is wrong.

I was wondering how bad it was because I thought it would maybe heal on it's own if it was really low. Since it just happened, I would say wait a few days and see. Maybe it is just sore if he did whack it on his waterer and will heal in a bit.

Thank you!!!
