Hi,

I have a hen who is limping pretty badly...she's trying not to put weight on that foot. I visibly do not see anything wrong so I assumed it would be better after a few days. However, it's not improved. It's been about 5 days.
Advice?
She currently is roosting at night with her sisters. Would roosting be contributing to the issue right now, since she is bearing weight on it?

It's possible jumping from the roost down, she landed wrong and hurt herself, possible sprain. Assuming you checked for bumble foot ... swelling ... redness? If all came out negative, she's still getting around (limping) eating/drinking/pooping and seems normal otherwise ... Thinking she needs to "rest" that foot/leg. Secure her in a wire cage at night with the flock instead of allowing her to roost. Try that for about a week see if there's any improvement. Others may have better insight and/or options.

Thank you. I haven't seen bumblefoot before but don't believe she has that. No swelling or redness and I keep checking it daily for that.

I have her and her flock off the roost as of a little bit ago. I'm hoping that helps. Can she still free range during the day?
