Limping rooster

If you see a limping chicken always check the bottom of there feet for potential bumble foot. Then run your fingers along there legs for abrasions or broken bones. If everything is OK then it's a muscle sprain.

I have a 4 mo old rooster limping with no apparent injuries. Do I cage him separately or let him stay in coop? What else can I do for him?
It depends on how bad the limp is and what the cause is.
If you are confident there are no external injuries such as something in his foot and he hasn't dislocated his hip it's likely it's just a strain.
If the limp is bad then a day or two rest in confinement might help. If he is getting around and doesn't seem to be in pain then leave him with the others and keep an eye on him.
