Yes, PVC is lighter, but it can break down in UV light so might not be long lasting...
.....and beware the chicken wire - not predator proof.

More like runs really, those tiny coops attached to the PVC runs there.... always make me cringe.

Oh really, didn't know those so flimsy.. But be good for just a run with predator proof sleep enclosure. Personally, I've got 10ft custom so the 40sf run big enough for short term such as when I get up bit late or there a hawk swarm lockdown needed. Otherwise they range under cheap hawk wire mess I made or around the yard with good amount of cover. Still though I was looking for something additional as hoping to keep a few Seramas and been starting up some very nice Cream Legbars.
