Linoleum Flooring Question?

We used plastic cap roofing nail for ours, then topped the edges with a little caulked wood shoe.

We used a left-over section of vinyl flooring from a bathroom remodel. We used construction adhesive spread with a v-notch trowel to hold it down (gotta work quick!) The perimeter is secured with drywall screws to make sure the birds can't pick at it and peel it up.
