We are building our walk in chicken coop and run here in atl. The garden coop. We decided to put in a floor because of moisture issues in that part of our yard. Plan was for linoleum flooring and sand. But I can’t find linoleum anywhere. Just vinyl. Any clues on other flooring options?

I used linoleum on my coop floor. Did you check with flooring places in your city? Sometimes they have pieces left over from another job. Up here, companies will also have discounted flooring sitting outside for a discount.

I’ve called flooring company. And Home Depot. They say “linoleum” is now a general term but typically just refers to vinyl. Lowe’s guy thinks some of their stuff is linoleum, but he didn’t seem to sure and I don’t want to get the wrong thing and harm the chicks!

We got white sheeting from Menards. 1/8 inch 4x8 (2) sheets $85 bucks to cover floor of 6x8 coop. So easy to clean. It is white HDPE panel.
Model number WHTHDPE48X96X118

see below. Sorry floor a little dirty from husbands boots during build but wipes clean so easy.

I used a heavy plastic/vinyl floor runner from Home Depot. Comes on a roll 3’ wide. I tacked it down with roofing nails.

@Arnolds2638 What are the 'moisture issues'?
Pics of coop and where you want flooring would help here.

I use a single sheet(avoiding any seams is a good thing) of heavy duty foam backed vinyl, it has held up well for 7 years now.
