Ok I have been wanting to get a rabbit for a while now. Just checking out CL for some to come up. My hope was to rescue one that was an impluse Easter purchase. Haven't found one of those yet. There are lion head rabbits about an hour from my house. They are so cute, I don't know alot about rabbits. Is this breed make good pets? The ad claims they are extoic, is that true? I would not be breeding. Just a pet. I am also wondering how long 25lbs of food would last. Just trying to figure out how much to budget for this. Thanks. Oh and here is the link with the pictures.

6 Week old Lion Head Bunnies....assorted colors two of the four have blue eyes. Unsexed. Adorable.
Great for pets, 4H, or raising more fuzzy bunnies!

A responsible breeder usually won't sell before eight weeks, would sex them before selling, and wouldn't encourage "raising more fuzzy bunnies." I wouldn't buy them from that person, just my opinion.

Lion Heads are not 'exotic' just another breed of rabbit, though still under development (not currently accepted by ARBA). They tend to be very outgoing, I've seen some very sweet ones and some rather aggressive ones.

I'm assuming you plan to feed all pellets? Most breeders feed one ounce per. pound of body weight, and then adjust according to their rabbit's body condition, and food consumption. That's a big bag of food for a three lb bunny,... if that's smallest bag you can buy, and can't split a bag with a friend,.. be sure to get the freshest bag you can. Hopefully, your mill mixes the feed better than ours.

Those are so cute.

I dont know that much about the breed. But from what I understand the body supposed to have shorter hair. ANd longer hair around the head. If the two bottom pictures are the parents. I think they have to long of hair all over..

But that is just my two cents worth.

They could be a mix of netherland dwarf and jersey wooley.

Cute bunnies, I have a lion head mixed with a meat rabbit, she's a pet yet she's going to breed meat rabbits or pets to other people:)
