My husband and I butchered two old laying hens the other night. One had a lot of fat in the bottom section, the other had 3 undeveloped eggs/yokes and about a cup of "water". Was this "water" egg whites or something else? The meat and organs all looked healthy and fine. We just want to make sure it is ok to eat.

Stick to the meat part and cook it well and you shouldn't have a problem but I would have a butcherer check them out because the Internet can't guarantee anything.
