Just candled the Ameraucana eggs and all are growing except two. I could not belive it! Traveling that far and being cold weather in all. You have some fertile chicks there and tough eggs.

I apologize again for them being scrungy.
I finally broke down yesterday and dug a foot-deep trench thru the Am' pen to try to drain it--- about half the yard was a lake from all our rain.
I don't know how you out there in 'rainy WA' deal with it.

I hope they keep growing for you

Spring for us here is the only time when we get really wet. We have about 6ft of packed snow on the ground right now and another 18-24 inches forcasted for tonight threw wednesday. zThe eggs wern't that dirty.

Theresa, Your enthusiasm makes me grin from ear to ear! I'm so glad the eggs had a safe and uneventful trip. Nothing yet, but no worries. Anything sent 'regular mail' is notoriously slow getting here.

Christina, I feel bad now. I'll take my bit of mud and be happy about it --- it was 70 degrees here today.

Snowdrifts?? Can't even imagine them.

(I have a lovely drift of 'pine shavings' in the floor, but that doesn't count, huh

Darby just dumped a tub of shavings destined for the @#$% brooders in the middle of the @#$% living room floor.

Anyway your eggs are safe and sound and waiting to be put in the bator tomorow. I am taking out a bunch of farmers eggs and putting yours in. I am gonna try out my hatcher now and see if they hatch in it.

Anyway take care and we just got snow here too but it only lasted a couple of days since I am in the valley.
