I just hatched out some lavender and lavender split orpingtons. So I should have some chicks in about 6 months. I also just hatched out some lavender bantam cochins !! I plan on breeding them to lavender silkies to make lavender silkie/cochin crosses in addtion to the pure breeds.

I'll pass on the wild grapes, hubby just came home with some grape vines from Fleet Farm yesterday so I should take them off my list unless anyone has any heritage ones.

What color are your iris's and spiderwort? I have purple spiderwort, just a few poking out of the ground that made the move from Racine.

I have 2 different shades of purple irises, and the spiderwort is a vibrant fushia. I posted a pic a while back of some of my irises. I'll look & see if I can find it.

Found one! This one is a solid purple, and if you strain your eyes (not you, Bigz!), on the far bottom left you can see the small blips of fushia poking out through the foliage of the irises, which is the spiderwort. Sorry I don't have a close-up pic of the spiderwort.

OK. They are volunteers from last year, coming up where I planted asparagus seeds this spring. They are about 1-2 inches tall, but they do grow very fast. You know, we didn't get a single ground cherry last year. Greedy chickens! I planted my starts in the big FENCED garden this year.

I divvied/divyed/divveed up my spare seeds, beans, peas, tomato and flowers. Gonna get the plants potted up between rain showers.

I also have a few 6 month old Bantam Necked Neck Roosters !! Anyone !! For breeders or pets please !!! Not for eating !!!

Ground Cherries: Small orange fruit similar in size and shape to a cherry tomato. The fruit is covered in papery husk. Flavor is a pleasant, unique tomato /pineapple like blend.

Ignore the description in that website about the plants being small; they were all at least 3' wide and 2' tall.
