List of Permits, Rules & Regulations for Game Birds by State!

I agree with James as well. There is no point to posting all this information from each and every state. Every providence and town is going to have it's own rules and regulations. Just because one lives in Washington state, does not mean that the rules are across the board for every town in that state. So folks are going to have to dig for information anyway. And I for one would never read thru every one of these posts to find my state laws, let alone the town that I live in. I could find it faster by referring to the link I posted earlier for my state and local fish and game department. Finding the information about licensing is not that difficult. Nor it is complicated to understand. You fill out some forms, pay a fee and unless they come knocking on your door, forget about it.

But for those that wish to post in detail all the in's and out's of getting their licenses, we certainly won't be offended. :)

Thank you again to those of you with helpful info. And thanks for the block feature so i no longer have to read the empty negative posts. best of luck to all you problem solvers out there.

I still do not see how people cannot understand that if they do not have positive constuctive solutions to the problems why fill the post with negatives? We are looking to find a way to make a post or section of this forum where we can easily look up info for our state. No there is not a website out there that does it in a way that most of us can understand. Clearly people agree this is a problem. And if you actually read the posts you will see we are already coming up with solutions.

I guess the block feature is my only hope. In time i will have blocked all the negative people who lack the ability to actually problem solve. If you do not think humanity can figure out a way to list poultry rules state by state well good for you but why not keep your negativity to yourself while we work on finding solutions.

It does not help anyone to go from topic to topic listing how you do not think it will work. Let the people willing to find a way work on it without you trying to steer everyone away from finding a solution.

Ohio: No permit required. You can have as many quail as you want. You may sell birds, eggs, and butchered birds to whomever you want. You may release birds into the wild.

No comments on that ^ or has everyone been blocked?
I'm not blocked but it appears that either you don't know your laws or you are being a smart alec of sorts.
From the Ohio DNR website:
http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/1533.71v1

"(A) Unless otherwise provided in this section or by division rule, any person desiring to engage in the business of raising and selling game birds, game quadrupeds, reptiles, amphibians, or fur-bearing animals in a wholly enclosed preserve of which the person is the owner or lessee, or to have game birds, game quadrupeds, reptiles, amphibians, or fur-bearing animals in captivity, shall submit an application to the division of wildlife for a license to do so. This section does not apply to a person who possesses wild animals under the authority of a license for a wild animal hunting preserve or a commercial bird shooting preserve.
The division, when it appears that the application is made in good faith and the applicant is in compliance with division (B) of this section, if applicable, and upon the payment of the fee for each license, may issue to the applicant any of the following licenses that may be applied for:
(1) "Commercial propagating license" permitting the licensee to propagate game birds, game quadrupeds except captive white-tailed deer, reptiles, amphibians, or fur-bearing animals in the wholly enclosed preserve the location of which is stated in the license and the application therefor, and to sell the propagated game birds, game quadrupeds except captive white-tailed deer, reptiles, amphibians, or fur-bearing animals and ship them from the state alive at any time, and permitting the licensee and the licensee's employees to kill the propagated game birds, game quadrupeds except captive white-tailed deer, or fur-bearing animals and sell the carcasses for food subject to sections 1533.71 to 1533.79 of the Revised Code. The fee for such a license is forty dollars per annum.
(2) "Noncommercial propagating license" permitting the licensee to propagate game birds, game quadrupeds except captive white-tailed deer, reptiles, amphibians, or fur-bearing animals and to hold the animals in captivity. Game birds, game quadrupeds except captive white-tailed deer, reptiles, amphibians, and fur-bearing animals propagated or held in captivity by authority of a noncommercial propagating license are for the licensee's own use and shall not be sold. The fee for such a license is twenty-five dollars per annum.

(3) "Captive white-tailed deer propagation license" permitting the licensee to propagate captive white-tailed deer, hold the animals in captivity, and sell the animals and carcasses. The fee for such a license is forty dollars. The license is valid until a licensee ceases to hold captive white-tailed deer or the license is revoked, whichever occurs earlier."

I think we have all been blocked from this thread.

DoubletakeFarm was not the one speaking of the blocked feature i was. And there is nothing wrong with posting info that will help clarify legal issues.

We are simply looking for a way to make it easier to understand the regulations in our areas. Again we already thought of a way to simply tag your post headline in a way so its easy to find info on your state. Im sure we will come up with more solutions in time.

Anyways i think its best for out spoken people like myself to simply block people who are not looking for solutions. Saves everyone a bunch of wasted reading like this haha

Go grass fed..
