I am trying to find out where I can get different breeds of egg layer prefer heritage birds not hybrids.

Performance Poultry is one.

Where in Ontario are you? You might be able to find local breeders! I'm by the QC/Ontario line. If you're near there, let me know, I may be able to help!


ETA: On the line, NEAR the US border...close to Cornwall area.

In ontario, there is Performance Poultry, Freys Hatchery. My feed store has a good selection of birds you can order. Whereabouts are YOu? There si also a poultryswapOntario you can check out. I do beleive there is a Canadian breeders list here on this forum also.

I just saw your intro thread. Performance Poultry is your best bet. They'll ship, too. But look on your local kijiji. You might find something there!
