I named my splash silkie rooster "Reveille" after the bugle call used to wake up military personnel. My hens names are:

Of my four, only two have earned names so far...

Valkyrie is my adventurous warrior chick. She is a white crested, black polish. As soon as the brooder lid comes off, she's off to explore and lead me on a merry chase to round her up again!

Artemis earned her name for showing hunting instincts and the discovery that ants are yummy during their first outing outside into the flowerbed. Those poor ants were just trying to move their hill.. they never stood a chance against her.

They're a mix of EE, Orpingtons, Cuckoo Marans and Black Copper Marans. I'm kinda bummed that Duck didnt hatch.
