We were recently given two of the cantaloupes that we are concerned might have been contaminated with listeria. My family ate one and I gave the other one to my chickens as a treat.I am wondering how I would know if I accidentally gave them a tainted melon and could it possibly pass from the chicken to the egg or be harmful to my family if we eat the chicken. What would be the signs to watch for in the chicken?Thank you for any help you can give us.
