So I just got a shipment of chicks from a mail order hatchery. They hatched and shipped on Monday and arrived Tuesday. There are 9 and all seem normal except the one. She is keeping her eyes shut except for opening them briefly while I gave her some water. I am feeding her water and electrolytes through an eye dropper and she is taking that but not doing much else. She keeps trying to sleep standing up and settling down with her butt in the air. I cleaned pasty butt twice and when last I saw her poo it was like white liquid. I have separated her from the others and she is under an infrared bulb. She's just so weak I'm worried for her. Tonight I'm going to try to run to the feed store and get some chicken meds. What else should I do? Does she need antibiotics?

Try some Duramycin 10.. Not sure bout what could be causing it... Try switching her for a couple of hours every so often to a white bulb same watts as the red bulb.. May help with the condition..

Lately she doesn't even want water. She keeps falling over on her side or back and kicking as if she's fighting to right herself, and I help her get up. When I offer water she shakes her head side to side or flops over.
