Listless Hen!

If you haven’t checked for a stuck egg by inserting a finger, it might be good to do. If you only feel soft tissue, it is probably normal. Sometimes a soft or shell-less egg can be stuck, and hard to pass. They can act very sick at those times. Crops can slow down for a number of reasons.

Lubricated everything and examined, felt nothing unusual, when I went to examine her she did poop after several hours and it is very liquidy not sure if the photo helps identify anything or not, it is very graphic I do apologize for that.

Unfortunately she passed away this morning, I'm still unsure what was wrong, I just hope it didn't spread to the rest of the flock. Worms maybe? Rest in peace little one ❤

I'm sorry for your loss:hugs

The only way to know for sure what caused her decline would be to have a necropsy. If you still have the body, refrigerate it and send it to your state lab. Alternatively, some of us perform our own informal investigation, looking at the internal organs, the abdomen, etc. to see if there is a clue. If you happen to do that, post some photos and we will try to help you with that.
You can find your state lab here:
