Little birds eating our feed

I didn't mean set a trap. I meant install a doggy door on the coop so the chickens can come and go as wanted? I was thinking your pen was pretty bird-proof other than the door being propped open?

As to the trap door I think that's a great idea! Now that is something I think I could build, good thinking there. As long as the little birds don't figure it out that could be just the trick. And anyway it sounds easy enough to build that I might just try it first!

I can say this about sparrows, they're pretty smart, LOL. Maybe size will outweigh intelligence this time.

The trouble is, the sparrows, the whitecaps, are just too darned cute to be mean to.

The door is open all day long. The birds free range, but their feed and egg boxes are inside.
