So, we had a rosecomb baby (without a rosecomb, oddly enough- I think my RIR roo got into that coop
) hatch about two hours back with a little bit of yolk on his butt. He was fine until one of his sibling pecked at it, and it looks like it burst. Though the yolk is still cohesive, there is a bit on his leg, and some blood (not a lot, just a small mucous clot.) I know that the yolk sack shouldn't be ruptured, could it hurt the chick?? The chick is resting, not very active, but it did just hatch, so I'm not too worried about that. Should I be?
