Today I got our second little egg can anyone tell me what is going on? The hen that laid this one today (brown egg) is 1 yr 4 mos. The hen that laid the green egg, age is unknown we call her grandma since she looks like an old hen. They eat well plenty of greens and laying pellets, oyster shell is available to them and they get some scratch and lots of water is available. The yolk in the green egg was smaller than an eraser head on a pencil. Any ideas?

Don't worry it happens sometimes. .. when they haven't laid for a while and start again they lay a couple of small eggs... that's normal and happens very often... I had a couple of these when an old hen of mine stated laying this spring after a long time no eggs from her... but then she laid nice and big and long eggs..

A "wind egg"...like that. My hen made all kinds of racket I thought she was going to pass another 31/2 incher like she did 2 days before and I laughed when I seen what she left behind it was soo small heck she poops bigger than the egg.

They lay daily that is why I was surprised and my Phoebe that lays every few months she lays a normal egg, nothing big or small.

Well I guess I won't worry something is wrong with them or their feed. They free range and eat anything they can catch on top of what I give. They have even caught the occasional sparrow.
