Little black flies in the bedding..

They are very small, they live in some parts of the wood shavings in the pen, but not all over. I thought they were fleas at first, cuz when i get close to look, they just disappear like they were just jumping away. But I can tell for certain that they are flying and fleas don't fly. I saw one on one of my ducks this am. She seemed a bit 'itchy'. I didn't find any on her.

anyone ever seen these tiny little things............?

I have only seen a few now & then. when I see any kind of bug even ants in the coop I sprinkle a little 7's around that usually takes care of the problem.
