Sammi, yeah, I taught art for 6 years in the K-8 setting, before that I owned a gallery for a bit. I've been a practicing artist for years, but am just starting to make my own art again after I stopped teaching. The coop was a little warm up for what I hope will push me to work on art again, it was a fun way to spend an afternoon & I had almost forgotten how much I love to paint. So, I guess the long and the short is that I am an artist, but not a money making professional type.
