A little baby hatched this morning. Baby is half silkie/25% Black Andalusian+ 25% Olive Egger (or Partridge Penedesenca). The mom is a silkie!!

I will! I’m a little worried because it is so cold here right now. I live on the east coast (MD). Do you think mama will be able to keep baby warm or should I try to find a way to keep the baby/mama warm?

Nope! She’s raised probably close to 15 chickens.

She will keep her all snuggled up and cozy then. Some first timers mom for a minute and quit.
