Curious what you make of this?
It almost looks like raised/broken tiny pieces of shell and not speckles.
I think this is from a Wyandotte born this Spring. She started laying in July.
Seems fine and healthy but produces eggs that look like this from time to time.
Hens have access to oyster shell, grit, free range and multiple sources of fresh water.

It's normal for that layer. Some hens/pullets put extra calcium deposits on the shell.
I have one that has a small smattering of extra Ca deposits on the fat end of the egg. Every egg. Every time. It's just her.

Looks like a combo of excess calcium and bloom.
My Wyandottes and Brahmas laid eggs like that.

'Speckled' eggs can happen for several different reasons...very few, if any, of which are a 'problem'.
Can be caused by:
Excess or uneven pigment coating.
Excess or uneven cuticle(bloom).
Excess calcium deposits.
Porous eggs can appear speckled.
Some birds lay them consistently, some only once in awhile.
The pigment or bloom can change appearance when wet, then change back when dry again.

As long as bird is getting a good diet and is healthy in every other way, it is no cause for concern.
