Little eggs

I have 6 chickens - 2 of each - black sex links, buff orps, and new hampshire reds. I got my first egg from one of them (don't know which one), a little brown egg like it would be from the batams. None are batams, but do there eggs start out small? I am new at this so please don't laugh.

Yes, they will all start out small. Those are your pullet eggs. Over time they'll gradually size up to whatever they are meant to be. A few weeks to a month or thereabouts.
