thats excellent newsBeginning of day 4- Looks like we've got some veining near the air cell on most eggs! It's very exciting!
The temperature has stayed very stable- within a half degree either way of 99.5F. The temperature on the digital readout appears fairly accurate. It's been within 2/10 of a degree to our backup incubator.
Humidity has remained around 38-40%.
Very early on but we're progressing well with the LG 10300.
Let us know what your next trial does. What was your humidity on lock down.thats excellent news
I did the "dry incubation" for my last hatch, I loved it! Are you incubating barnyard surprises?I set 39 eggs today. This time i plan to not add any water whatsoever. I paid $6 for 3 dozen and my brahmas laid 3.
yep. I have a neighbor who lost her flock to predators. She wants anything that will hatch. And i need the practiceI did the "dry incubation" for my last hatch, I loved it! Are you incubating barnyard surprises?
Mine were all barnyard surprises. They are so fun to hatch and watch grow. You get such a variety and you never know what you are going to end up with if there's enough of a variety. I ended up with 12 and out of them I had 2 silkie mixes, 2 polish mixes and 2 turkens. I had a 3rd turken hatch but she died a little after a week. I love trying to guess what they are going to look like.yep. I have a neighbor who lost her flock to predators. She wants anything that will hatch. And i need the practice
