I presently have two old Hova-bators (one forced air, one still air) chugging along and doing great. Since I needed to do some additional incubation, I pulled out a Little Giant 9200 and turner from my stash which looks like it has never been used. I then purchased a fan to add to it. I've heard these are temperamental as far as temperature --that's putting it mildly! I've been working with it for days trying to get the temperature stabilized. Have had it placed in different areas of the house that have constant temps of between 60 (basement), and 75 (bathroom with heater on). I've used 4 different thermometers, so I know my readings are accurate. Even at the lowest temperature setting (decrease temp knob all the way down), it still climbs to between 103 to 110 plus.
I'm at my wits end! Has anyone replaced the electronic thermostat in these with the old reliable wafer type or have any ideas. Since this has a circuit board, I don't believe I can do any internal adjustment.
