Little Giant Incubator Tricks

Pics
You need a screw just big/wide enough that the threads 'connect' with the inside of the 'stem'. It pushes against it enough to grab, but not so much it splits the stem part. I used a drywall screw and it works just fine.

A bad storm blew through through Monday and our power was out for 12 hours. I decided to keep going with this batch of eggs. Candled them today and all but one seems to be developing to my untrained eye. Crossing my fingers to at least get a few chicks out of this test hatch!

I have lost power before and plugged my incubator into an inverter which I plugged into a auto jump start battery pack. It worked and kept the temp good until the power came back on.
