Little Giant Incubator Tricks

Mine are expected to hatch today in my LG too. I'm leaving temp at 101 (still air). I added baby jar of water and got humidity to 65% I'm a nervous wreck. They are in a classroom. First try did not work. I've never had trouble at home. I don't know why they all quit developing at 2 weeks. At least I know these chicks are still alive. Wish me luck.
Totally normal to be a neervous wreck!! Hope they hatch well and the kids can see the chicks. WHat an experience. My son's class is doing duck eggs-- as it is a 6th grade class I"m not sure of the level of focus, but still a learning event for most of the kids if not my son.

Which ones quit at 2 weeks . . . .. . and how is that event related to the current batch??First try , second try? Home v school?

Hope you have a good hatch!!!

Hoping to wake up to even 1 hatched...

Im a wreck about my newest ones I placed in on Wed. 18 Dominique which is what I've been working towards and was practicing for. Temp 101-102 on top, in Turner with humidity at ~35%. Today is day 7 & I am going to candle...fingers crossed!!!!!!!

Ok so after reading and re-reading I just finished candling. These are my "ground" delivery Dominique eggs. Day #7 and I see so much more than I have seen in the past. I would see veins and an eye but tonight it seemed "so much clearer" could be the practice and they were not colored eggs too. But was so excited DH got up to look as he knows how down I am about all the failures at hatching. Now I am seeing and believing! !!! I hope it continues! !!!

So @Arielle I hoping we are successful! !!!

They are so beautiful!! My goal is to have english lavender orps. Not quite ready yet. Where did you get your eggs from?

lSet my 4th hatch in the LG 18 days ago....Locked down tonight. When I set eggs, I set 23. Day 7 showed 1 blood ring and 3 infertile ( we just recently had added a few new pullets and I do believe these were their eggs). At day 18 lock down, there were 18/18 with good air cell and 1 questionable as the egg is so porous I can't see through it. 11 days ago I set 3 eggs just for fun, 1 Black OrpxRIR, I RSL x ? and 1 Jap Bantam (hopefully pure) possibly x silkie!

I took the 3 later eggs and added them to my cooler bator which, :fl seems to be holding temp as of yesterday and all day today. Here's to hoping!
