Little Giant NIGHTMARE!

I got a Genesis Hova Bator 1588 for Christmas, It has the temp automatically set, and I got the egg turner also. Here is my eggs that I just put in the bator with the automatic egg turner, plus it has the clear top, so I can watch all the eggs especially during hatching.

So, guess what I am asking is -- how to 'use it properly'? So far, no solid feedback.

I put up a tips thing of what I did to make mine very stable incubators.
Not many people were interested because LG's are bad. I bought 9 of them
used after I figured out how to make mine stable. Mostly I buy from people
that tried them once or twice and get disgusted.

The biggest problem is that the top and bottom don't fit together properly so I put
some insulation tape between the top/bottom halves. If your humidity is bouncing
around so will your temps. So if all your humidity is escaping out the sides your temps
will spike. The other major thing is the hairpin knob on top.

Kitchens and bathrooms are a secondary problem because ovens and showers
cause variations. I use mine in the basement or a back bedroom (during winter).

I was frustrated with it too. I would run the humidity to 50% and when it dropped
down to 30% (because it was losing all of the humidity) the temps would be like 103.
I would add water and adjust down only to find that my temps were now too low. So,
I would adjust back up only to have it spike when the humidity got low again.

My last hatch done in one was 33 of 36 eggs hatched. Two infertile and one a bacterial problem.

I had the same problem geting the fan to work with the LG. I could not get it to work following the instructions, .i.e. directly wiring it into the thermostat. Finally, I ran the fan wires out through one of the same holes in the lid and connected it to an old cut off two prong plug. That got it to working fine. No other prblems then other than it was almost impossible to maintain a constant temp. (would go from 98.7 to 100.2, never 99.5)
