Little Giant problems----UPDATE----

Well, I did it. I opened the large end and peeked inside. They are fully formed but still stuck to their shells and not moving. I had increased the humidity when I took them off the turner and when I wasn't sure it was humid enough I even put a small cup of warm water in the corner of the bator.

Needless to say the kids are disappointed. I will get a fan and digital hygrometer / thermometer for the next batch.
Also, I think I need a better egg turner. The one I have the egg holders are always popping out. So every morning I would have one or two egg holders I needed to poke back in.

I have a LG still air.

I'm so sorry to hear that.

I was hoping at least one would make it.

I think every time is a learning experience! My eggs aren't due until the 20th, so I'm not sure how successful we'll be yet. This time around I'm hand turning, and it's been keeping the temp and humidity fairly steady. The altitude effects humidity a bit, but my temps stablize about 30 minutes after I turn them. I've also been keeping a log of what I do each day. I'm hoping I can catch mistakes and learn from them. Good luck with your next hatch!!

Thank you Sonja. It is sad,

but I feel optimistic about trying again. The lady I got my eggs from lives close to you. My oldest two kiddo's are in Co. Springs and this lady lives close to them. I will be getting another batch the first of May which gives me time to get my LG better set.
