Okay I have 6 Lillian bantam Cochin eggs in the LG still air ... it's holding temp pretty steady. My question is is that I have a thermometer nesteled between the eggs, it reads 100 (just read about bumping it up to 101 -102) however the 2 digitalis that I have on the sides are reading about 97...is this okay? Should I up temp more, since the thermometer is reading higher where the eggs are should I just go by that?
Thanks in advance for any help...

That should read 6 Lil bantam Cochin eggs....typing on my phone lol

Not telling you what to do, but it should be reading 101 at the top of the eggs. in a still air bator, when your hatch is done install a PC fan, it does great.

Hi,
You may recieve different input. I will tell you how I do it.
I have two LG still air and had the same concerns about temp.
I keep one thermometer in the middle on the turner rack.........
Do you have a turner?
If not , just set on the rack.
I use that for the temp.....
I rotate the eggs a few time before lockdown.moving the inside eggs to under the heat elemant.
I cannot tell you a pattern because I just kind of do it a couple of times a week when I think about it.
My middle temp runs 100.........
I have read on BYC that a little lower temp will not kill the eggs but may cause them to hatch a little later.
I have found this true with my standard sized eggs.but have hatched several hatches of
Serama recently, really little eggs, and they have hatched day 19.
I hope this helps and good luck with your eggs.....
