Last night was a cold night, much colder than expected. My DW & DS went out
to water the 5 day old Cornish crosses and, in a fit of thirst, the Cornish got very
wet and then started going into hypothermia.

16 out of 50 were in BAD shape. They couldn't walk and were just blobs. Their
body temps were 80 degrees.

I pulled my LG out of the box, fired it up, and put the almost dead chicks in it.
As of this molment I haven't lost any chicks. The ones in the bator are sitting in
dry 95 degree air and pooping everywhere. Thank God I put down paper towels
in it.

I'm gonna bring the temps slowly down to 85 and monitor progress.

My Brinsea bator is full of silkie eggs and I really wouldn't want to put a bunch
of poopin CX's in it anyways.

Who says LG's are junk?
