Little quail chick won't eat

I had 1 little californian valley hatch yesterday out of 30 eggs. Problem is he won't eat anything I've tried tapping on the food, dipping his beak, ground crumb, I've tried mixing it with water making it very runny but no matter what I do he won't eat. He's not much good drinking either unless I actually dip his beak he's not bothered. I'm so worried about him starving to death

Try a hardboiled egg yolk, the yellow color seems to get their attention. Sprinkle it over the feed.

With our quail if we only hatch a few I put them in a small brooder box with rags on the bottom and just sprinkle the food all over. Is the feed ground up small enough for it to eat? Sometimes I have to run it thru a blender to get it small enough for them.

Thank you, seems to be liking the egg yolk, and pecking at the crumb a bit now so panic over
