Little wing thumbs

OK butchered my first corntix quail didn't cut off wings and just plucked them to my surprise, it had little thumbs with tiny claws on its wing joints. Thought this was neet so I shared it here the quail was male btw. If anyone else finds this let me know. It's probably normal tho

It's normal, it is called a "thumb", it's also called the Alula of the wing. The little bone is called the Pollex.
