Mine don't lay all that much, especially not my old hen Lovey. I don't mind, because I don't keep them for eggs.

I rarely eat the eggs.

Aw, poor chooky.

My Pinkie is skittish and my other hens are so very naughty, they don't lay much either.

If you're raising them for eggs, I can see why they aren't the most favourable.
