But here's the start of my story I started writing! 6 pages already! I know there are some un-useful things in there, and I'll re-do some of the things, but here's a good cliff hanger. (C) JerseyGiantfolk

Chapter One

MY sheep were baaing loudly begging for food. I moaned, and opened one eye slowly. The shiny poultry and sheep ribbons on my wall caught my eye; I groaned again and rolled over on my right side on my bed and squinted to look at my alarm clock. 6:13 AM, Friday, June 12. The last day of school! I let out a small sigh and slowly slid out of my bed. Squeeeeeeak. I heard my dog Benny’s collar shake, and saw him cock his head in the early morning light through the window.
I rubbed my eyes, blinked and started to walk out of my room without turning my desk lamp on. I managed to make it half way to my door when I tripped over a bucket of horse brushes and hit my head on the wall. “Ow, ow, OW!” I silently whispered, holding back my light brown hair and rubbing my head. My room is full with horse stuff, brushes, whips, halters, bridles and I also managed to find a Western Saddle at a rummage sale. I keep convincing my mom and dad to get me one, but they always told me this, “We’ll get around to it…” well, it’s been 5 years since they said that.
I trudged out my room toward the bathroom; Benny got up and followed me. I flicked on the light switch and walked toward the mirror. The spot where I hit my head didn’t look that bad. I grabbed a hair tie from my wrist and quickly tied up my hair in a quick bun. I walked back out and down the hall, threw on my brown Carhartt jacket over my arms and slipped on my crusty, muddy boots and opened the porch door and flung open the screen door. Benny pushed the door open but I made him stay inside.
I jumped off the porch, yawned and headed to the shed where the feed was. I yanked open then old shed and grabbed a flake of hay and scooped up a bucket of chicken feed. As I wobbled over to sheep in the run-in barn I noticed how the air was so humid and I almost considered taking off my jacket, but I usually end up getting muddy.
I opened the latch to the gate of the run-in barn when I felt awkward, that feeling something is watching you. But for sure it wasn’t my sheep, I remember one time a cougar was watching my sheep from the trees above, and managed to pounce on one of my sheep and kill it. I made a slight turn around, and looked up toward the trees, after all it was still a bit dark, and predators could still be out. I didn’t see anything, so I shook it off. Just as I was putting the flake of hay in the sheep feeder, something moved the bush. I freaked out and dropped the feed bucket, though; I caught my foot on the feed bucket full of chicken food and spilled it, and the flake of hay flew up into the air as I leaped to the other side of the fence. My sheep scrambled, but then ran back to the hay and started munching on it. Was it Friday the 13th today?
My 5 Buff Orpington chickens were looking inpatient, and started pacing back and forth, behind their cage trying to get to the spilled feed at my feet. I remained still for what felt like hours, I picked up a rock slowly and steadied my arm to throw it. Just then and big snort came from behind the bush and a big pink and black muzzle was showing through.
I gasped, then unlatched the gate and quietly closed it behind me. I made my way back to the feed shed and picked out a handful of hay. I went back to the bush tripping on my own feet and peeked around it.
I almost had a stroke! There standing there was a beaten up buckskin gelding.

WOW! Thats really good Jersey! Whats the title of it? :)

Hope it heals!

Thanks! I pulled it off and wrapped her leg up. It was really bloody :/ First we found blood on the perch and I knew something was wrong. We counted all the hens, looked at their feet and I finally saw her bloody spur and foot :/ The sad thing was is that it's my little brother's hen and he was crying and he was like "She isn't gonna die is she?" It was so sad. But I insured him she wouldn't die. I think she will be just fine.
