You should cull her, put her outta her misery

I can't really do that and she is like on her last leg. I think today is her last day unfortunatly. She went egg bound a few months ago and never has been the same since. I am about to go check on her right now.....

I had a chicken on her last leg recently. I was going to put her out of her misery, but my Mother said, "Let her die in her sleep." So we waited and she was the same for two days, so I gave her sugar water and buttermilk. In five days she went from not even being able to open her eyes, to walking about. That was a week ago, her entire problem lasted 4 weeks (she had an external injury that went septic) Now she will fly on me and run with the others. But her feathers are stunted for this winter.

Oh that's sad. My hen just passed away. It is sad when any of my hens die. I will do anything to keep them happy and healthy. And i try my hardest to help them in any way. But this one i knew i wasn't able to do anything. She went egg bound months ago and just a few days ago got really weak and very very lethargic. I will miss my dear Ruby. But all animals have a time and i guess today was her time....sadly on my Birthday. :(
