I'm sorry for both of you, I know what it's like loosing animals. We were fostering a dog a couple years ago, and I was training him, and then he dragged me across the ground and I let go because it hurt so bad. Then I noticed he saw our most favorite chicken, and he grabbed her and shook her back and forth. Me and my sister started screaming, but this dog never even knew his name. And he shook her away. And I pulled his tail, YES I KNOW VERY DANGEROUS, but it was the only way to stop him. He turned around and I tackled him. The hen wasn't dead yet, and she was gasping for air and couldn't move at all, so she had to be put down with a shovel.... *gets the "If you see a chicken with a shovel" song in my head*
Later that day, the dog (Max) was killed... I never knew how... actually...

Haha well I call my Bestfriends booboo :p it's an insider.... Yeah I'm really upset. I cried like ten different times today. Especially when I was siting with him and he would wheeze and wheeze and just couldn't fight anymore and would stretch his neck out with his eyes wide and he'd just stare at me.... He was suffering so much, we were about to shoot him but then he just stopped breathing :( its so different without him. I'm wanting to get another ewe lamb or a calf or somethin in place of him.

Im gonna get barnyard mix hatching eggs soon though.... The dad is like a blue laced brahma and the hens are bo, slw, welsummer cross, and bb. I decided I don't want to get the dominiques, I don't like them too much, and why work with something you don't enjoy looking at so well? Our barnyard mixes were so cool to look at, even though not many people buy them. And then I'm gonna hopefully get my ducklings soon and I want to get either a bunch of pheasants or buff silkies..... And then rescue some Tyson meat bird culls. That's was a venture last year when I did it for the first time...

One of the guys in my 4H club got 1st place in meat goat showmanship and went to Round Robin, and the steer he was doing showmanship with stepped on his foot.

That happened to my friend to his steer stepped on his foot and I mean this steer was HUGE and his foot turned purple
