Live capon price?

You should be able to market live capons through any "live poultry markets", which there are several in Mass (according to google). They could be your middle person. Another possiblity for the really colorful breeds is as "Live Yard Art" similar to having Peacocks though without the crowing/screaming. A third market may be the small urban flocks that can't have roosters, but want the colored feathers to match the autumn leaves. Gee that makes me think of another outlet, come fall with tourist chasing leaves and orchards. The orchards may be interested in a mascot!
I capon birds, but strictly for the meat value. We do not sell them, but they are greatly appreciated as gifts.
Good luck with your venture.

I suspect it is difficult to sell live birds that need to be butchered. Not many Americans do their own killing and cleaning. Those that do tend to raise their own livestock.

However, I can see a good market for newly castrated roosters for the buyer to grow out their own capon.

This is an older thread but I will agree with this post. If you could get 5 dollars per bird just out of the brooder you would probably have more profit than selling a 10 month old for 25 dollars. You would at least have a better profit margin. Of course you would have to get good at it and not have many slips.
