i live in Bulgaria and meal worms seem to non existent in my area .
I can get worms and maggots form fishing shops
would the maggots do for my Silver pair ??/ only a few a day

Meal worms are raised and fed grain or grain products. Maggots on the other hand feed on dead decaying flesh. I would be hesitant to feed my birds maggots for fear of bacteria that might cause the birds problems. They would be pure protein, but the bacteria is a question. Anyone else out there have an answer??
