I know silly question. Just want to ensure my chickens won't get sick from live worms.

Is it possible? Yes. Many critters like earthworms, grubs, flies, beetles, and such can possibly give you chickens parasites. That does not mean they will, the parasite has to be in your area for your chickens to get it. Most of us do not have those problems, even if we free range our chickens.

It might be sunny where you are today, at least part of the day. You may be in a fender bender next time you drive to the grocery store. Probably not but it can happen. A piece of space junk may hit your house later today. It has happened to some people but not many.

There are a lot of things that can happen, some more likely than others. I have no idea whether your chickens will get parasites from earthworms. When I butcher my chickens I split open a section of intestines looking for tapeworms or roundworms. I've never found any, though that does not mean I won't the next chicken I butcher. If I do, I'll treat for worms. Until then I'll check but I won't worry.
