livestock 101 - How are the factory hens doing?

What a difference! The color is coming in on their combs, and I agree they have that look in their eye that says "hey life is gonna be pretty good isn't it?" Great for you and them! Please post pics of them regularly, we all want to see them feather out real nice too.

You are such a dear for saving those poor girls. They look great! I loved the pictures of them hanging with the other girls. It looks like they are adjusting to "the life" very well. They probably never thought life could be so good for a chicken. I can't even express how awesome you are!!

AWWWW! They look so much better already! They will have a great life now!
Keep the updates coming when you can!

Just wanted to say what beautiful girls you have there. I'm so touched by this whole thing...those beautiful girls were blessed to have such a beautiful, caring person come into their lives. Thanks so much for sharing the story and pictures of your girls. I believe they will, in turn, help to save many more chicken lives. Way to go!

I agree with AF...the next chickens I get will be from a battery farm. The girls are looking great! They look much calmer and happier and not so terrified as they did in the original pics. I think the comb colour is better too.

We need as a group to try and make saving some of these birds even if only a few out of millions that are abused part of the mission of the forum i think.
I have not had any luck finding a battery farm in rochester but im sure they are in the surrounding areas.
