This JUST happened.

My chickens and ducks are in a foraging area surrounded by electric netting and covered with aviary netting. So I JUST heard a huge kerfuffle in the yard. I ran out to see my birds all panicked and my cat chasing off a fox!

Granted, I'm sure the electric would have deterred the fox, but it didn't even get that close. Big ol' Seamus (who we call the Big Orange Dummy) was after it! Holy cow! That fox was, like, half the size of Seamus.

Good kitty! Glad he didn't get hurt!

Look how tough he is, cuddling with his brother, Mingus...

I'm sure he wasn't protecting my flock, but the result was the same.

I'm a little shook, tbh. It's pretty early for a fox to be out. I'm going to have to go out tomorrow and double check the perimeter.
