livestock guarding dogs to protect flock?

A couple questions - What kind of school is this? How many adults will the dog be interacting with and will there be many "strangers" coming by?

An LGD accepts the usual people, but strangers will at least be barked at. It's their nature to fend off unfamiliar people/animals.

How large is the enclosure the dog would be in? I know some LGD owners who pen their dogs with poultry or other animals just for the night, but the dogs have access to larger areas most of the time.

But that should be at the breeders home, you should NOT bring a puppy home till at least 8 weeks old. I don't think Bear Foot Farms meant you should have it that young. (pardon me BFF for assuming I know what you mean, but I think thats one thing we agree on if I recall correctly)

That's correct. I should have mentioned that.
That is a pup from my dogs, and was with her Mom when she wasn't with the chickens

I was training her for someone else who got her when she was about 9 weeks old

Here she is with her new owner at about 10 months old
(That color is from their red clay)
