Hi Just wanted to know about one of our buff orphintons who seems to be brooding only at night when the rest of the three hens are roosting. Otherwise she is out and about all day. What to do?
 
She is not bridging, she is sleeping in the nest box. This is not a good habit because a sleeping birds poops, a lot, and this fouls the nest. Simply go out at dusk and move her to the roost or block the nest of at night if possible. That is assuming you have sufficient roost space for the number of birds and she is not the subject of bullying
