Liytle bantam from tsc

I'm incubating my own birds this year so I wasn't planning on buying any birds from anywhere.. that being said,
This is our new little bantam. We are hoping it is a roo as that is why I bought it. Hubby wanted a bantam roo.. at our tsc you have to buy 4 so I got 3 mystic pullets with him. What do you think his breed of bantam is and maybe age? Do you think its a Cockrell? Thanks in advance

It's most likely either a black breasted red old English game bantam or a light brown Dutch bantam. Too early to sex, but I suspect it is a female due to the heavy eye stripe. Time will tell.

Ugh noooo I didn't want a female lol thank you much tho for the response.. any guess on age? I was thinking about a week? Pretty much the same size as my newly hatched standard chickens right now lol

Well it's not definite. That's just based on a hunch. I think it is right around two weeks old.

Wow ok .. guess I didn't realize just how small they are lol ty!

You should know its gender soon. Females of this color will get rusty colored breast feathers, and males will get black ones.

Looks more Dutch. If you put an ad saying you want to trade for a cockerel I’m sure you will get many responses

So when looking at hoovers website they don't even have Black breasted old English bantams.. they do have red breasted and silver duckwing.. those are the closest to looking anything like mine.. still don't know tho.. pretty positive it's a female with a partridge brown kinda look and no other color

Yes, they are listed under BB red old English bantam on their site. BB stands for black breasted.

Ahh I guess I thought the bb red was dif then bboeb.. makes sense
