Wisconsin has pretty normal birds. We do have sandhill cranes, and bald eagles of course. The Accipiters: Northern Goshawk, Sharp-shinned hawk, and Cooper's hawk. A long list of waterfowl, like teals, wigeons, and mergansers. A bunch of owls and songbirds. The cutest birds around here are definitely Little Auks. Some ibises.
Other than that, everything you see everywhere else, like robins, crows, starlings, and kites.

I live in WI and one that I enjoy is the wood duck with its crest

One of the most impressive birds I've seen in my backyard in SC is the Great Horned Owl. This is not my photo but having one stare at you like this is breathtaking.

Hi fellow Wisconsinites! We have barn swallows that show up every year.

I have seen barn swallows in places that are not barns any ledge works for them

I’m from Wisconsin too!
I have seen the Green Heron following the local creek.
Snowy Owls are coming back into the area! I always love seeing one glide through the air.
