I'm looking for a mill in charlottesville to buy my feed from. I want to know what my chickens eat and buy more natural food for them. If anyone knows of a mill in or near Charlottesville, please let me know. We travel often and might be able to go to DC every month or so.

Thanks

I really don't know if this will help, but I believe there is a mill in Raphine, Virginia which is near Lexington. If you ever head down towards Roanoke on 81 it might be worth a stop. Wades Mill I believe?

Wades Mill sells grits, corn meal, etc.... I think you must be looking for a mill that will or does grind its own chicken feed. I don't think they do that. I might be wrong though.

Hi there, I am in Fishersville...

Over here there is Augusta Co-op Farm bureau, and Valley Feed in Staunton. Valley Feed has very good chicken feed and milled feed. Either one should sell you individual ingredients by the bag, or a complete feed.

There is also a mill in Stuarts Draft run by a mennonite family, Sunrise farm. They are located on rt 608 between Fishersville and Draft. They raise pasture chickens and have their own little mill.

Countryside naturals is here in Fishersville, on Rt 250 right in the middle of the little town. They do not have a mill, bring feeds in.

Good luck!!!

Yeah I couldn't remember about Wades Mill. I went there once when I was about 11, lol. I just knew where it was and that it was a mill.
