Local Mixed layer Grain feed vs store bought layer

Hey all! I’m really excited that I found locally sourced layer feed for my chickens. At first they ate like crazy and now They aren’t eating as much.. is it the feed? Are they not as hungry- as when I feed Purina brand? Wanted to hear your thoughts. Also- my flock of 20 about half just started to lay.. they are 5 months old. h

Looks fine to me. If your getting a better deal stick with it. I don’t see the issue with feeding chickens corn. In your feed they use peas as the main protein source.
Just make sure it has a fresh mill date. Within 60 days at most.

It’s a complete feed so anything extra is basically a treat. Personally I like sunflower seeds as a treat.
